Stacie Turner, founder and confectioner of Velvet Confections by Stacie, loves everything about desserts! She has had a passion for cooking and baking since early childhood. At age 6, what started as curiosity while watching her mom in the kitchen quickly turned into a passion. From there, Stacie’s love for baking followed her throughout her life.
During childhood summer breaks, Stacie opened a “sweets shop” at her parents' house, selling all sorts of baked goods and a variety of snacks to neighborhood friends and family. Word spread rapidly and Stacie’s house became the hangout, as friends gathered to sample and purchase fresh-baked treats. It was during those early moments that Stacie realized desserts are instrumental in bringing people together and creating joy.
As her baking journey continued into adulthood, consistent requests for her rich, velvety red velvet cakes and cupcakes became the inspiration behind the name Velvet Confections by Stacie—a business born from both passion and purpose. What began as a signature flavor evolved into a brand centered on thoughtfully crafted desserts made with heart.
With an emphasis on carrying forward the traditions of old-fashioned desserts, all of her confections are created with love. Every customer encounter is typically greeted with a warm hug and often turned into a lifelong friendship.
